The Book of God's Palms

1: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2: And the heaven was so low above the earth
that the children of men cannot stay upright
and they had to creep on all fours like beasts:
and God saw that it was bad.
3: And God said,
Let there be a wide space between the heaven and the earth,
and let it divide the heaven and the earth.
4: And God put his right hand on the heaven
and his left hand on the earth
and made the wide space between the heaven and the earth,
and divided the heaven and the earth: and it was so.
5: And the children of men called him Vishnu or Widharr,
because he made the wide space for them.
6: And where God's fingers and wrist touched the heaven,
there came into being stars,
and where God's fingers and wrist touched the earth,
there came into being valleys with a rivers.

7: The name of the star created by his right thumb
is now Thuban or Adib or Alpha of the Dragon.
8: And the name of the star created by his right index finger
is now Ed Asich or Eldsich or Iota of the Dragon.
9: And the name of the star created by his right middle finger
is now theta of the Dragon.
10: And the name of the star created by his right ring finger
is now Eta of the Dragon
11: And the name of the star created by his right little finger
is now Aldhibah or Eldsib or Zeta of the Dragon.
12: And the star created by his right wrist
is Kochab or Beta of the Small Bear.

13: The name of the river created by his left thumb
is now Strzela.
14: And the name of the river created by his left index finger
is now Mzze.
15: And the name of the river created by his left middle finger
is now Radbuza.
16: And the name of the river created by his left ring finger
is now Uhlava.
17: And the name of the river created by his left little finger
is now Uslava.
18: And the river created by his left wrist
is Berounka, which means the river of the Bear.

19: So there is the holy constellation of Dextra Dei,
the Right Hand of God,
near the centre of the northern sky
and there is the holy land of Sinistra Dei,
the Left Hand of God,
near the centre of the Europe.
20: And at the confluence of these rivers,
there arose the city Leftpalm, in Latin Palmosinistra, for short Palsin,
which is now called Pilsen or Plzen.
21: And the dwellers of Pilsen said one to another,
Go to, let us make beer; and let us make us a name.
22: And God came down to see the city and the beer,
which the children of men brewed.
23: And in process of time it came to pass,
that the dwellers of Pilsen brought of the beer
an offering unto the God.
24: And God tasted the beer they had made,
and, behold, it was very good.
25: And God had respect unto the dwellers of Pilsen
and to their offering.
